I photographed all neighbours of my studio, to later give them a framed photograph. I asked them to hang it up in their house so I could photograph it. The work was finalized by an exhibition in one of the neighbours houses.
Series of 14 photographs

I stood waiting by the front door of my studio and when a lady passed by I invited her in to be photographed. I asked her to draw from her memory a picture of Marilyn Monroe and then try to imitate that photo. I exhibited a selection of 12 posters in the studio and invited all the ladies.

Every day at 12 o'clock people starting passing by the studio with rapid pace. It took me a while to figure out where they were heading.

Can Tulum is a fictive Turkish photographer created for the exhibition Invisible Borders at Lasecu in Lille 2009. Visit Can Tulum's fantastic webpage for more of his works. Collaboration with Tunc Topcuoglu.

The publication is a collection of self-portraits which are all based on self-portraits from well-known artists working with photography. Some of the photographs have a strong resemblance to the original, for example the Bas Jan Ader photograph, others are more difficult to identify. The images have some commonalities with each other and on every picture the same clothes are being worn and every image is made in the same location.

A two day performance, taking place simultaneously in Murica/Amsterdam. During day one we built an exact copy of our studio in Amsterdam. During day 2 we continued working on our ongoing projects. A live streaming video exchange connected the two spaces to allow visitors in Murica and Amsterdam to view our progress and help us to copy changes in the studio(s). Mr Photographer is a fictive b/w street photographer, he likes hard contrast and lively shots. This is the document of his work and his first solo exhibition.

I dedicated a 100 days to create a better version of myself by using self-help books, tapes, videos and all sorts of different things. The book is a collection of all material created in the process, and my attempts to make an artwork on the topic.

A collection of friends confessions. The confession is printed on the back and put in a hollow lightbox. It's only possible to see the confession when the sun is shining through the lightbox.
